For those of us who feel adrift in these seemingly crazy times, here's a daily routine that can get us back on course. This routine serves as a regular reminder to tap into our inner wisdom, and it's incredibly easy and quick to do both first thing in the morning and whenever we feel stressed or off-balance during the day.

I learned it from my friend Ashley. I'm truly grateful to her for sharing it with me.

Hope you get something useful out of this episode, which is the latest in my Everyday Exuberance series.

To listen to the other shows in the series, please go to A Happiness Exercise (episode 24), Move Forward with Confidence (32), A Cheerful Start to Your Day (33), Be Our Authentic Selves (36), Focus on Light, Not the Dark (38) and Healthy Conducting (48).

This is Kate Jones. Thank you for listening to The Gale Hill Radio Hour!

The show is available in Apple and Google Podcasts, Spotify and other podcast directories. Also on Substack and YouTube; Facebook, Instagram and LinkedIn.

Hello, and welcome to a short episode of The Gale Hill Radio Hour.

I’m Kate Jones here to talk about raising our vibrations in anxious times.

This topic came out of an illuminating conversation I had recently with my friend Ashley, who always has good insights to share.

We began this particular conversation talking about stress and anxiety, common feelings with all that’s going on in the world. Life is at a frenetic pace, and many of us find it difficult to stay centered.

In times like these, Ashley says, we need simple ways to right ourselves. And she suggested an easy routine that helps us do that.

Requiring nothing more than our breath and a few seconds of our time, it goes like this:

Begin by breathing in and letting the breath out. Then make this straightforward declaration: “I am choosing to spend my day, my life, carrying the vibration of creation.”

There are other ways to state this intention that all have the same meaning. For instance, after the breath, one could say, “Today and every day, I choose to hold the vibration of  “love,” “compassion,” “goodness” or “force,” all synonyms for “creation.”

The important things are to breathe and call upon our inner wisdom or the higher force within us. That’s the intention we want to carry with us every day and throughout our lives.

Ashley suggests stating this intention first thing in the morning and also anytime when anxiety or stress slips us out of higher vibration.

This daily routine gets us back into that good vibration and, what’s really interesting, is that vibrating at a higher level has a positive effect on other people as well. As Ashley explains, the process is similar to the way a tuning fork works: Our higher vibration lifts the vibrations of others.

Wow, that is so cool. Thank you, Ashley!

Setting this intention every day has really helped me center myself. I hope that it does the same for you.

Thank you for listening to The Gale Hill Radio Hour.
